A few words about Skala Prinou..

Skala Prinos is situated on the northwestern part of the island and is the second in size port of Thassos, after that of the capital’s, with ferry services running to and from Kavala.  The area was developed on the basis of passengers’ transportation needs and ferry services.  As a result an excellent infrastructure of businesses was developed along the beach ensuring comfortable vacations.

During the summer months, at the municipal camping located in the area, concerts and other events take place.

In the open sea, one can spot the oil rig.  “Karnagio” (shipyard), where wooden boats are constructed and repaired in a traditional manner is located on the left side of the port and attracts tourist attention.

Walking towards the same direction and reaching the end of the bay, one comes across the incomparable beauty of ‘Dasilio’ (coppice) of Prinos with its many recreational spaces, luxury resorts and beautiful sandy beaches.
